Experience working with orphans in Uganda, revealed to the Coggins the

inadequacy of the Ugandan Education System.

While in Gulu, God placed a vision in their hearts to instill a Biblical worldview

into the hearts and minds of the children of Uganda. The challenge began: How

to alter the curriculum, yet still meet the school requirements of Uganda?

Research revealed the answer. By using the format and structure of a Christian home-school curriculum and combining it with the content of the Ugandan Curriculum and other relevant content, a Christ-centered, child-centered, integrated, interactive learning curriculum could be created.

Work began and many segments have been completed and are currently being piloted . Our neighbor to the north, South Sudan, has also expressed an interest in using Roots to Fruits as their national curriculum.

The most important aspect: it is ALL from a Biblical perspective, creating a Biblical worldview. Our heart's desire is that the children we reach plant roots that go deep into God's word for the production of good fruit  (Jeremiah 17:8).

Writing the curriculum takes a lot of time and resources. If you like to donate to the writing and production of the Roots to Fruits curriculum, please click here:
